The phantom of the opera overture
The technology has come a long way in the last few years. I do feel like MuseScore synthesizer does a pretty good job of playing back the score. It would probably take me weeks of practicing to get this to performance level. I wish I had more time to focus on performing. He got 11k followers, but from the comments I read I have the impression that none of these 11k people is able to play any of his arrangements - they just listen, then click on "favourite" and leave. E.g., there is a contributor named Zakura who uploaded 250+ scores of piano covers of pop music. The thing with Musescore is that most followers are just letting the synthesizer play the music instead of playing it themselves. I am a Musescore user myself and sometimes I find some good stuff there from other people that I can elaborate until I get an arrangement that fulfills my requirements. Yes, the "official" sheet music we pianists can buy is often rather disappointing, no matter who the artist is or what kind the music. I prefer playing "The Music of the Night" by ear, that is more fun. Well, the left hand does not look that fun to play to me, although I could certainly do it. It’s given me a lot of weird hats that I’m juggling at this point, but I like to do it.This is really a very good piano arrangement of the Phantom Overture, though I was a bit disappointed that you let the Musescore synthesizer play it instead of having a go at the piano yourself. And, of course, I will be doing some of my parodies tonight, because I guess I have to now. Now, of course, I have new fans who follow me and know me as that guy who sang about toilet paper during the pandemic. So I go out to, you know, the grocery store and I still get recognized and have fans that followed me for the last ten years from The Voice. When they premiered our episode after the Super Bowl, it was literally just one of the craziest blessings I’ve ever had. I was Christina (Aguilera’s) finalist on Season 2. He’s certainly bullied. And, the love story, and you know, the heartbreaking story of the Phantom. I think that people just love these songs. I mean, for me it just gives me chills-still. rehearsing these songs and hearing how gorgeous this music is. and getting to perform it again, here in Madison, after such a departure from not playing it anymore. What is it about that role, that show that has made it endure so long?Ĭhris Mann: “I mean, the music, for me. Critics called you, “The best Phantom since Michael Crawford”. You played the role of the Phantom more than 700 times, handpicked by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Let’s talk about your show Phantom Voices in a bit, but first, I want to ask you about Phantom of the Opera.
